We have a fantastic opportunity for a suitably qualified and highly motivated person to join our MSK team at one of our GP Practices based in Bradford.
Main duties of the job
You will need to have advanced skills in clinical reasoning, assessment and treatment of MSK conditions.
You will require strong communication skills and you will need to be committed to pursuing CPD. We provide in house CPD sessions lead by APs and we also provide regular supervision.
You will be working alongside an amazing team of physiotherapists and administrative staff. You will also have the opportunity to build good relationships with GP's , FCPs and APs within their own practices. You will need to be flexible in your approach to working and be confident with lone working when needed. You must be able to demonstrate good time management skills.

Clinical
- To perform highly skilled and efficient physiotherapeutic assessment of patients.
- To use advanced clinical reasoning skills to provide an accurate clinical diagnosis and prognosis.
- To be confident with discussing cases with medical/ AHP colleagues and to be aware of when to refer onto other services e.g. the MSK team.
- To assess, develop and implement physiotherapy treatment for specialist caseload, and to provide advice in specialist field
- To formulate, develop and deliver individualised treatment programmes based upon evidence-based practice, manual assessment and appropriate clinical reasoning.
- To communicate effectively with patients to ensure informed consent for assessment and treatment, providing the patient with good understanding of their conditions and maximise their rehabilitation potential.
- To be proactive with CPD and to demonstrate evidenced based practice through relevant reading and attendance at in service training.
- To ensure good working knowledge of national and local standards and monitor quality as appropriate
- To have effective communication with all other centre personnel and with external medical personnel from other agencies / units.
- To work as physiotherapist in musculo-skeletal clinics where assessment, treatment recommendations, outcome evaluations and prognoses are developed under the lead of a consultant physiotherapist.
- To support any appropriate research in developing the centres evidence-based practice.
- To manage and prioritise own clinical caseload efficiently and effectively.
- To provide clinical reports to supply clinical prognoses and comprehensive discharge planning for authorised external requesting entities and / other health professionals

- Member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapists (CSP)
- Member of the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC)
- Degree/Diploma in Physiotherapy
- Current enhanced DBS
Desirable
- PG Cert (or above) in relevant MSK field, working towards full MSc (Post Registration).
- Acupuncture Qualification(s).
- Injection therapy Qualifications(s)
Experience
Essential
- The postholder must have completed core rotations as a band 5/ 6 physiotherapist to include MSK.
- Experience of assessing and treating patients with acute and chronic issues.
Desirable
- Experience/ interest in chronic pain management
- 2+ years experience in an MSK post.
Knowledge
Essential
- NHS Experience.
- Excellent range of knowledge of MSK conditions and their management.
- Ability to manage your own caseload and complex needs.
- Understanding of governance and evidence based practice.
- Ability to demonstrate ongoing CPD.
