Main duties of the job
Key Information:
- Work Pattern: Clinics are scheduled on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and ad-hoc Fridays from 8:00 to 18:00.
Job Share/Part-Time: We welcome applications from one or multiple candidates seeking job share or part-time hours. Shift patterns will be confirmed with successful applicants.
Key responsibilities:
- To organise the set-up of each clinic ensuring everything is prepared prior to the clinic start.
- Patient interactions: meet and greet patients warmly, providing excellent customer service to create a positive and comfortable experience.
- Assist patients with any inquiries or concerns, ensuring their needs are met with empathy and professionalism.
- Facilitate a smooth patient flow throughout the clinic, optimising their overall experience.
- Assist the surgeon during minor operations as required, ensuring a sterile and organised environment.
- Provide reassurance and support to patients undergoing minor operations, fostering a compassionate and caring atmosphere.
- Ensure the room is left clean and tidy once the clinic has finished
- Follow infection control protocols and maintain high standards of cleanliness to uphold a safe and hygienic environment.
- Facilitate the completion of electronic or paper patient surveys after each appointment, ensuring valuable feedback is collected for continuous improvement.
- Conduct regular stock checks to ensure an adequate supply of clinic-related materials and equipment.

Dedicated to supporting surgical excellence, the role involves assisting surgeons in the Minor Operations clinic while overseeing the preparation of clinics, patient flow management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with surgeons during minor surgical procedures.
- Ensure comprehensive stock control, promptly notifying the Service Manager of stock requirements.
- Guarantee the readiness of all necessary items for each clinic, including patient consent forms, leaflets, surveys, and pathology forms.
- Set up consultation rooms with precision, ensuring the functionality of equipment.
- Adhere to Infection and Prevention Control protocols for equipment cleaning.
- Offer a warm welcome to patients, guide them through the process, and provide top-notch customer service.
