We are looking to
expand our Sensory Integration provision to meet the growing need of our
service users for high quality assessments and interventions. We recognise the
crucial role sensory integration can have in achieving good outcomes for the children
and families we support and having got our sensory package established, we need
the right person to help us grow and develop it. We are based in the West
Midlands, but we also offer online services nationally.
Applicants will have completed post graduate sensory
integration training, either Module Four of Sensory Integration Education or
Module 6 of Ayres Sensory Integration WISE and should have an interest in working
with children and families (particularly children who have been looked after
and adopted). Applicants would ideally have an interest in or experience of sensory
attachment intervention or equivalents.
You will be working closely with our existing SI OT and
team of Psychologists to offer multi-disciplinary
assessments of attachment and sensory needs for adopted and looked after
children. You will also be offering consultations to families regarding their
childs sensory needs and there is scope to offer direct work to children.
Main duties of the job
Advanced
Sensory Integration Practitioner (Occupational Therapist / Speech and
Language Therapist / Physiotherapist), Band 6 or 7 equivalent depending
upon experience and qualifications) full and part-time considered
(minimum 3 days per week). Salary range from £33706 - £47672 - depending on experience)
We offer a model of both remote and face-to-face work for our families so ideally you will be located in the Midlands and willing to do some driving.

Child Psychology Service (TCPS) CIC is a not-for-profit organisation whose aim
is to provide caring, therapeutic, psychological support to children and their
families. TCPS provides a free-at-point-of-access service to families eligible
for the Adoption Support Fund (ASF) or for funding from their Local Authority.
We work closely with our colleagues in the NHS and social care to provide specialist,
therapeutic assessments and interventions that arent always available within
statutory services.
