Job summary
You will drive the safe, effective and
efficient running of the department across its multiple sites. You will drive improvements within the
service, share learning and best practice across the department and respond to
patient feedback and complaints.
It's

This position is to provide maternity cover on a Fixed Term basis for up to 12 months. Full time is preferred, or a minimum of 30 hours a week.
Main duties of the job
You will be a point of contact for all on the day concerns from patients
or staff therefore problem solving, relationship building and team working
skills will be instrumental to the role.
It is
essential that you have excellent attention to detail, can prioritise and
organise your own workload, create efficient and effective work flows, exercise
initiative and independent judgement whilst maintaining a high level of
confidentiality and diplomacy at all times.

The Operational Support position is a key role in the Outpatients Service that will be involved in supporting all teams to ensure the smooth running of the department and an improved patient experience.
The role will have some specific duties that they are accountable for, as well as providing ad-hoc support to the various Outpatient teams as the need arises, such as providing sickness and holiday cover or cancelling and filling clinics at short notice.
The post holder will complete a wide variety of tasks, working with all teams across Outpatients, they will therefore need to gain a good understanding of the various duties and roles that need completing in each department and be flexible on what their day or week will involve.
Working with team leaders and other head office departments on the investigation and resolution of any incidents, patient concerns and complaints, including preparing chronologies, investigation reports, and acting as an escalation point for on the day patient concerns.
Assisting the Outpatients Service Manager with the running and organising of clinics, and the introduction of new services and equipment, including creating any necessary new Standard Operating Procedures, or updating existing ones.
There will be the requirement of running reports and research for the medical director on an ad-hoc basis.
