Job summary

We are seeking highly motivated and dynamic individuals to provide a clean and safe environment for our patients, staff and visitors. This role will involve general cleaning in both clinical and non clinical areas.

Main duties of the job

Duties will include: - High dusting walls, ceilings, curtains rails, doors- Damp dusting furniture, fittings, ledges and paintwork- Vacuuming floors daily- Deep Cleaning of areas and equipment. This will be a part time position, providing cover for a 7 day service.

Tyneside Surgical Services (tss) is an Independent Provider of NHS care located in the North East of England. Our team dedicates itself to providing knowledgeable and integrated surgical services to patients. We carry out a number of elective surgical procedures across eight different specialities.

Established in 2007, the company has continued to grow and has now developed a day-case facility within Team Valley in Gateshead. The new facility comprises of theatre, a day-case unit, endoscopy, outpatient clinic facilities as well as having on-site MRI and ultrasound scanning.

We are seeking highly motivated and dynamic individuals with excellent communication skills to provide first class domestic services within our facility.

The post holder will undertake tasks required to provide the level of service necessary for the department to deliver business plans and support the organisation. They will ensure that they adhere to relevant operational policies at all times.

  • *Knowledge of manual handling and health & safety regulations.
  • *Knowledge of Infection Control procedures.
  • *Experience of working in a healthcare environment.
  • *Experience in using floor machinery .

Qualifications

  • Good general education at GCSE level or equivalent

  • *Will be willing to work flexible hours, pressured workload to meet organisational needs.
  • *Occasional need to support service across site for escalation and training purposes.
