Job summary
This position is responsible for administering
intravenous (IV) medications and therapies to COVID-19-positive patients within
our CMDU clinic. The IV Bank Nurse ensures the safe and effective delivery of
treatments while adhering to infection control protocols and maintaining the
highest standards of patient care.
Main duties of the job
Key Responsibilities:
Administer
intravenous medications and therapies to COVID-19-positive patients in
accordance with physician orders and established protocols.
Monitor patient
responses to IV treatments, assessing vital signs and clinical indicators for
any adverse reactions.
Maintain accurate and
complete patient records, including medication administration records, progress
notes, and assessments.
Adhere to infection
control procedures and maintain a clean and sterile environment within the CMDU
clinic.
Educate patients and
their families on the purpose and potential side effects of IV medications and
therapies.
Ensure the proper
handling, storage, and disposal of medications and medical supplies.
Participate in
ongoing training and professional development related to COVID-19 treatments
and nursing best practices.
Provide emotional
support and comfort to patients and their families during their stay in the
CMDU clinic.
