Job summary

As a Team Leader working within our Cambridge City hub you will provide support to people that have been identified as requiring help with addressing their substance and alcohol use. You will manage a team in order to deliver a range or interventions and provide a package of holistic support to help build resilience and improve peoples ability to achieve their goals and build recovery.

Main duties of the job

To work collaboratively with others within the Cambridge City service to provide support to those with alcohol and/or substances use issues.

Working with the professionals in Primary Care and CGL to ensure the people we support have regular health checks including BBVs and other relevant screenings where required.

Provide regular update reports to Senior managers regards the progress of the project.

You will manage a team in order to deliver a range or interventions and provide a package of holistic support to help build resilience and improve peoples ability to achieve their goals and build recovery.

Your role will be to ensure the quality and consistency of service delivery and to support the staff team to deliver a high quality recovery service to residents of Cambridge. You will facilitate the empowering of staff to promote hope, choices, control, and opportunities that assist service users reaching their full potential as individuals and community members. You will work with your team and Designated Safeguarding Lead (if not your role) to ensure that the practices within the team/service enable identification of service users, children and families who are at risk and ensuring that staff are competent in the delivery of interventions that reduce risk to service user. You will be able to work effectively to engage with local partners to review, develop and evolve pathways, agreements and collaborative working to support those with complex needs in the city. The role will involve being the lead on the recruitment, selection and induction of staff and also to support staff to improve service user outcomes through observed practice, providing timely values-based feedback

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent experience
  • Knowledge and experience of developing and leading health and social care services
  • Knowledge and experience of delivering services which evidence high performance and quality standards
  • Experience of effective partnership working, relationship management, pathway and protocol development
  • Experience of culture and change management, staff engagement, service improvement.
  • Ability to lead, inspire and develop a team.
  • Ability to develop positive working cultures and relationships, embedded in CGL values

Desirable

  • Ability to build strong professional relationships within Healthcare settings.
  • The ability to work remotely and autonomously.
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively with Primary Care professionals and build links between services.
  • Knowledge of existing service provision in Cambridgeshire local services including mutual aid networks.
