Job summary
We are looking for a HCPC registered qualified Clinical or Counselling
Psychologist who can ensure the delivery of a high quality, accessible, and
inclusive psychological service for people who are experiencing substance use
and mental health problems. The post holder will promote trauma informed
practice within the team and wider service through consultation, case
management, training, reflective practice, and research. Under the supervision
of a senior HCPC registered Clinical Psychologist, the post holder will offer a
range of evidence-based psychological and evidence-informed psychosocial
interventions relevant to address the degree of complexity experienced within
this population of people. They will also receive peer support, reflective
practice, research and CPD opportunities through our national Psychology
Directorate.
A preceptorship role would be considered for those who do not meet the criteria for a Highly Specialist (NHS band 8a equivalent) role but who are looking for the opportunity to progress to this role upon successful completion of a development plan. It is expected that this will be achievable within 18 months 3 years ,dependent on the experience of the successful candidate.
Salary: preceptorship - £39,332 £44,347 (CGL pay scale: 41 to 46)
Following successful completion of a preceptorship period
£45,365.43 - £51,447.10 (CGL pay scale: 48-54)
Main duties of the job
To undertake a range of specialist clinical work relating to
problem substance use, recovery, trauma, and other mental health challenges.
To contribute to multidisciplinary assessment of, and
intervention for people with complex needs.
To contribute to the delivery of reflective practice groups,
team formulations and other psychologically informed approaches for clinical
and non-clinical teams.
To contribute to the development, evaluation, and delivery
of specialist training around psychological and psychosocial intervention.
To contribute to research at the local and national level.
To demonstrate clinical leadership through personal conduct
and practice.
