Manton Heights ABI Unit is a modern and bespoke unit that
provides a variety of specialised services to individuals who have an acquired
brain injury and need rehabilitation for their physical, emotional and cognitive
recovery.
Our integrated multidisciplinary team create and deliver
individualised individual goal led rehabilitation programmes. These are
reviewed and updated weekly with progress evaluated with the individual and or
their family involved so that the therapeutic value is holistic
As a Therapy Assistant youll work with our Physiotherapist
and Occupational Therapist to provide a high-quality therapy service for the
people we support.
Youll play a key role in empowering people to build their
everyday living skills and maximise their independence.
Main duties of the job
Job role will include:
- Ability to assist with patients to achieve their goals
- Carry out assessments on patients as required
- You will manage a caseload of patients as keyworker to ensure communication of changes and needs are up to date and shared with all involved
- Work with the MDT and other external partners to ensure the best outcome for the patients
- Contribute to the development of the Manton Heights ABI Service and the therapy team within it.
- Providing a range oftherapy interventionsas part of the wider Therapy Team
- Supporting people to achieve theirpersonal goals
- Maintainingaccurate recordsfor people receiving therapy interventions
- Promotingchoice, dignity and independence.
- Encouraging and supporting people to take part insocial activities, both in and out of the home
- To participate in CPD and other developmental activities.
Previous experience working in a rehabilitation centre or as a therapy. Full training and induction will be given.
