NHUC are excited to advertise a new opportunity for Health Care Assistants to join us as we launch our new Urgent Treatment Centre in partnership with Frimley Park Hospital.
We are looking for enthusiastic Health Care Assistants who are keen to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to deliver exceptional patient care to our local communities.
Shifts times will vary from 10:00 16:00 & 16:00 22:00, 7 days a week.
This is a fixed term, zero hours position until the 28th November 2025.

Main duties of the job
Receiving all visitors of the Urgent Care Centre, directing them as appropriate.
Supporting the Frimley UTC clinicians who are consulting urgent primary care patients with vital signs, urine dip, pregnancy tests, blood tests, ECGs or duties relevant to the day-to-day functioning of the service.
The HCA will be part of an ever-evolving MDT and is integral to the patient journey through the UTC. The post-holder will be required to have access to EPIC and will, at times, be required to write in patient entries.
The post holder will be responsible for preparing and maintaining environments and equipment before, during and after patient care interventions.
Responsible for escalating deteriorating patients within the waiting room who are under the care of the UTC.
Perform weekly checks of the equipment and oversee the medical equipment used at the Urgent Treatment Centre, arranging replacements and calibration, etc.
Assisting the Urgent Treatment Centre to achieve both local and national agreed targets, for example, patients who have been pre-booked appointments (and therefore have had an initial assessment via NHS 111, appropriate clinician such as GP/Paramedic, or have used an appropriately clinically governed streaming and redirection tool) should have an evaluation within 30 minutes of arriving at the UTC.

NHUC is a not-for-profit Community Benefit Society, working in partnership with the NHS. NHUC provides services through two divisions, Same Day Care (SDC) and TalkPlus.
SDC provides services through the Integrated Urgent Care (IUC) contract which covers the in Hours Clinical Assessment Service (CAS) and Out of Hours (OOH) provision for North Hampshire, North East Hampshire and Farnham (NEHF) and Surrey Heath places who are part of the Hampshire and the Isle of Wight ICB and Frimley ICB respectively. SDC also support projects such as ED streaming in Frimley Park Hospital and the Aldershot Urgent Care Centre in the Aldershot Centre for Health. It also holds some smaller contacts such as supporting Community Hospitals OOH and Flu response. Finally SDC has a virtual care arm supporting patients at home.
TalkPlus are part of the Improving Access to Talking Therapies programme, providing support to people with common mental health problems in Northeast Hampshire and Farnham place. TalkPlus offers a range of treatments to people who are experiencing symptoms of stress, anxiety, low mood, depression, panic, phobias or OCD. TalkPlus has care pathways to provide timely treatment for perinatal and military veteran referrals.
