CIPHER Medical have an exciting opportunity for Newly Qualified Paramedics (NQPs) to join our growing team.
Successful candidates must be available to start in April 2024. Please only apply if your Paramedic course finishes before the date listed above.

Main duties of the job
You will be accountable for the assessment and treatment of patients, as well as administering medication. You will also be responsible for managing, discharging and referring patients in a variety of critical, emergency and urgent care settings.
You will be required to complete the CIPHER NQP Portfolio (recognised by the NHS) within 2 years of post.

As an HCPC Registered Paramedic, you will be clinically responsible for all patients under your care and the care of your crew mate, who may be less clinically qualified than yourself.
In this role, you will complete your NQP Portfolio (recognised by the NHS) with the support of our Practice Educator and mentor.

- Clinically responsible for all patients under your care and that of your crew mate, ensuring the efficient operation of our frontline support.
- Responding immediately to emergency calls and hospital transfer requests.
- Working effectively within scope of practice, ensuring patients receive the highest quality standard of care.
- Using appropriate knowledge and skills in order to make professional judgements, conducting diagnostic procedures and treatments as required, safely and to the appropriate level of training and competency.
- Responsible and accountable for clinical decisions made during the course of duty.
- Working within the appropriate sections of the JRCALC guidelines, CIPHER Medical policies and procedures, protocols and scope of practice at all times.
- Ensure the prompt, legible and accurate completion of all patient records and incident forms.
- Completing vehicle daily inspections, ensure that the ambulance consumables are stocked before every shift and checking all equipment is in operational readiness.
- Appropriate use of airwaves radios and equipment (terrafix)
- Where trained, carrying out blue light response driving.
- At all times exhibit standards of personal and professional conduct and performance.
