Primary Eyecare Services (PES) is a leading
NHS provider organisation delivering innovative, high quality community eyecare
services across England. We are looking for an experienced and
proactive Project Manager to support the successful delivery of our
digital programme. This programme will shape how services are delivered through
2026 and 2027 and is central to our wider transformation agenda.
The role involves working with internal
colleagues, suppliers, NHS partners, and our IT partners to ensure delivery is
well coordinated, risk is managed, and milestones are achieved. It is ideal for
someone who is organised, delivery-focused, and confident operating in a
fast-paced environment.
Main duties of the job
Stakeholder Collaboration: Stakeholder
Collaboration: Work closely with cross functional teams, including both
internal & external stakeholders. These will include IT, healthcare
providers, clinical staff, & management to define project goals,
requirements, and priorities. Also to support & develop the overall
stakeholder engagement strategy.
Scope & Risk Management: Develop detailed project plans, define scope, track project progress,
& proactively identify potential risks. Implement mitigation strategies &
manage changes as needed.
Technology Integration: Oversee the integration of digital tools & systems into existing
healthcare workflows. Ensure solutions align with healthcare standards,
compliance regulations, & best practices.
Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements & efficiency gains
within healthcare operations through digital solutions.
Quality Assurance: Ensure that all digital initiatives meet the required standards of
quality, patient safety, & compliance with healthcare regulations.
Reporting & Documentation: Prepare and deliver regular status
reports, dashboards, and presentations for stakeholders, including leadership
teams & healthcare practitioners.
Partner Management: Manage relationships with third party
suppliers & technology providers, ensuring service level agreements (SLAs)
are met & solutions align with project objectives.
Continuous Learning: Stay updated on the latest trends in
digital healthcare
About us
Primary Eyecare Services (PES) is an established provider of high-quality extended eye care services (those beyond sight testing) utilising a large network of optical practice subcontractors across England (~2500). PES currently holds and manages contracts on behalf of the primary eye care network, spanning more than 28 integrated care systems and delivering over 450,000 episodes of patient care each year with a total annual turnover of ~£25+million. PES is a not-for-profit company, limited by guarantee. This sees the majority of generated income pass through to frontline eye care services in optical practices.
Primary Eyecare Services (PES) is a CQC Registered provider also delivering NHS urgent eyecare telemedicine and NHS referral management services through its Contact Centre located in Ancoats, Manchester.
