Job summary
Medipro is expanding its apprenticeship provision and is now delivering the Level 3 Healthcare Support Worker Apprenticeship. We are seeking an experienced Tutor-Nurse with a background in teaching apprentices to join our growing team.
The successful candidate will be confident delivering high-quality training and support to apprentices, with the ability to communicate effectively with learners and employers. This role is primarily based at our centre in Stockton, so the ability to commute comfortably is essential. You must also be willing to travel nationally to deliver training and support to less local employer sites when required.

- Design and deliver interactive teaching, learning and assessment, on-site and online, aligned to apprenticeship standards and employer needs.

As a key member of our Education Team, youll play a central role in shaping and delivering high-quality learning for a wide range of learners, with a strong emphasis on apprenticeship programmes. Working within your professional scope, youll contribute to multiple courses and pathways, ensuring an engaging learner experience that is grounded in current clinical practice and aligned to employer needs.
Youll help maintain the highest standards of quality and compliance, ensuring programmes meet the requirements of awarding and regulatory bodies. With a learner-centred approach, youll support progress and wellbeing, drawing on data insights and inclusive teaching to keep every learner on track.
The role is dynamic and collaborative, involving close partnership with colleagues and employers and occasional travel across sites to meet learner and customer needs within our growing education provision.
The post holder maybe required to travel within the UK. This would require the staff member have a full, clean driving licence and their own car.
Main Duties
- Plan, deliver and assess education and apprenticeship learning to the professional standards set by awarding and regulatory bodies, within your scope of practice.
- Conduct timely learner progress reviews and set SMART targets, using data to track attainment, attendance and on-programme milestones.
- Identify learner training needs and design, implement and review tailored educational solutions to address them.
- Ensure full compliance with company policies, procedures and guidelines, and with all awarding/validating body requirements.
- Monitor and evaluate programme delivery so that content, teaching materials and assessment consistently meet or exceed minimum standards.
- Coordinate and support external inspections, moderations and accreditation visits, including preparing self-assessment, action plans and evidence packs, and delivering timely progress updates.
- Participate in clinical audit and quality improvement activities; contribute to policy and process updates where needed.
- Participate in the selection and onboarding of tutors/educators when required.
- Mentor, train, assess and supervise new and seconded instructors, providing constructive feedback and development plans.
- Offer peer support and take lead responsibility for designated curriculum/clinical areas, sharing best practice and evidence-based approaches.
- Manage your caseload and teaching schedule effectively to meet deadlines, visit timetables and reporting cycles; demonstrate strong time-management and prioritisation.
