Job summary
A group of 5 PCNs' is looking to recruit experienced or newly qualified Physician Associates to join our multi-disciplinary team. The successful candidate is required to have completed the Physician Associate Postgraduate Diploma/Masters from an accredited UK university and will be registered with the Physician Associate Managed Voluntary Register (PAMVR) held by the Faculty of Physician Associates (FPA).
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will have direct contact with patients, taking medical histories, carrying out physical examinations, updating records, making diagnoses, analysing test results, undertaking home visits and delivering treatment. Working to a professional code of ethics you will be able to demonstrate flexibility in the role, and have a caring attitude towards patients.
About us
Greenwich PCN Alliance is made up of 5 PCN's across the Greenwich borough (Blackheath & Charlton PCN, Eltham PCN, Greenwich West PCN, Heritage PCN and Unity PCN). The post holder will be well supported within the PCN as there are physician associates already working within the PCN practices and it is envisaged that there will be a shared supportive network of physician associates and practices with regular meetings to work through the aims of the PCN.
Full and part time opportunities available. Starting salary depending on experience.
A successful candidate will be allocated to one of the 5 PCN's and will work within this PCN only.

Provide first point of contact care for patients presenting with undifferentiated, undiagnosed problems, utilising history-taking, physical examinations and clinical decision-making skills to establish a working diagnosis and management plan in partnership with the patient.
Undertake face to face, telephone and online consultations for emergency or routine problems, as determined by the Practice, including management of patients with long-term conditions. Participate in all treatment and preventative healthcare services in the Practice as delegated and agreed by the mentoring GP.
