gtd healthcare is one of the largest NHS commissioned Primary and Urgent care providers in North West England. Based in Denton, Manchester, we have a an excellent opportunity for a Senior Communications Officer to join our dynamic Corporate Affairs Team on a 12 months fixed term contract.
As a Senior Communications Officer, you will support with the delivery of all aspects of gtd healthcares corporate communications. Working for an organisation that is the largest of its kind in North West England, this role offers exposure to the full breadth of communications activity and provides excellent opportunities to develop and broaden knowledge and skills.
The successful candidate will have excellent written, digital and interpersonal skills, along with a can-do attitude. You will thrive on building strong working relationships at all levels of the organisation, bringing enthusiasm to deliver high quality work as well as the confidence to appropriately challenge colleagues and stakeholders to ensure the right outcomes are achieved.

The Senior Communications Officer position is a 12 months fixed term opportunity, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, between core working hours, hybrid working model.

Main duties of the job
- Excellent copywriting skills, ensuring engaging and accurate content is produced for internal and external audiences across multiple platforms and publications.
- Work across the organisation to source and create content for a variety of platforms that promotes the full range of gtd healthcares services.
- Utilising Canva to design content such as posters and graphics for internal and external audiences including social media platforms.
- Using content management systems to update and maintain the staff extranet and website.
- Providing communications advice and support to staff, including translating complex information into content that is clear and appropriate for different audiences.
- Leading on (with support from the Head of Corporate Affairs and wider team) the management of the organisations events.
- Supporting the Head of Corporate Affairs in managing the organisations brand and corporate identity.
- Supporting the Head of Corporate Affairs to shape the positive perception of the organisation.
- Supporting the Head of Corporate Affairs to monitor, analyse and evaluate the outcomes of corporate communications activity.
- Providing the wider team with corporate governance support, as required.
- An interest in and monitoring local and national health media coverage.
- Supporting relationships with key stakeholders such as NHS partner providers and local authorities.
