gtd healthcare is one of the largest NHS commissioned Primary and Urgent care providers in North West England. We have an excellent opportunity for a joint Head of Nursing & Allied Health Professionals to come onboard on a part time basis.
As a joint Head of Nursing, you will be responsible for professional leadership to the non-medical clinical workforce while working closely with the existing Heads of Nursing and the Director of Nursing. Of key importance will be your commitment to continuous improvement, shared learning and best practice, while being passionate about providing patients with the highest possible quality care.
The role will provide integrated professional leadership across all aspects of the organisations nursing and allied health professional functions while also working as part of a wider multidisciplinary team. The post holder will ideally hold a MSc, however, applicants with relevant clinical and healthcare management and leadership skills and experience will also be considered.

Main duties of the job
- Provide proactive and visible leadership acting as a positive role model for all staff through the demonstration of collaborative supportive professional leadership.
- Develop the clinical workforce across the Alliance for Alliance delivered services.
- Work alongside other senior managers to ensure there are clear and coordinated priorities for the delivery of services across the organisation.
- Responsible for promoting excellence in all areas of practice in order to deliver a high quality patient-led service which is dynamic, proactive, and responsive to health needs for example clinical pathway development, supporting education, clinical competency development, and the development and maintenance of clinical standards.
- Lead improvements and provide assurances on systems and processes in place which will deliver high quality services which are focused on delivering the full range of quality standards required both nationally and locally.
- Support the recruitment process of all nurse/AHP appointments ensuring best practice is complied with and optimal outcomes are achieved in filling vacancies.
- Work closely with senior clinical and management colleagues to ensure evidence based clinical practice protocols and policies are championed across the organisation.
- Provide professional advice and support on the development of policies and procedures to ensure clinical and operational priorities are reflected in policy development.
