Main duties of the job
You will provide routine and urgent clinical care for both acute and long term conditions working to local and national guidelines. The daily clinical workload is split equally amongst all clinicians with additional workload kept to a minimum by our excellent care navigation team, who work hard to signpost to the most appropriate of our extensive local community services. A typical day is structured with 15 minute appointments as standard (except for follow ups/results) with 2/3rds of the session being clinical and 1/3rd clinical admin. Sessions are 4 hours 10 minutes. Non NHS work is also a requirement of the role, however this is remunerated as additional income to the base salary.
You will need to possess strong leadership qualities providing support to the ACP trainees as well as other clinicians e.g pharmacist and PCN paramedics.
You will be expected to work with the team to continually strive to improve standards of care and, in particular, achieve QoF targets and KLOE objectives as outlined by CQC.
