Job summary
This
post has been created to support both existing day-to day clinical sessions and
the development of future clinical services, including migration to a PCN
specific booking platform. The successful applicant will be responsible for organising
and coordinating appointment rotas and any associated work such as appointment
cancellations.
They
will also provide high-level administration support to the PCN Manager, Leadership
Team and member practices.
Our PCN employs over 50 members of staff including physiotherapists,
social prescribers and pharmacists and the successful candidate will need to
act as a liaison between these staff and practices within the PCN.
This
individual will be a key point of contact for staff, member practices and will
be able to sign post queries to relevant individuals as appropriate. The post
holder will provide support in monitoring the progress of activity undertaken
by staff and analyse and collate data on appointment usage across the PCN.
This
role involves providing effective administration skills across a wide variety
of tasks.
Main duties of the job
Effectively
manage appointment rotas for PCN staff
Being the main point of contact for PCN staff when calling
in sick and then contacting patients to rearrange their appointments
Providing administration support to the PCN Manager and Team Leads
Providing IT support and liaising between the PCN and GPIT
Managing the PCN MS Teams site
Maintaining the PCNs file management system
Collate activity reports from each service to demonstrate the work
undertaken for their patients.
Undertake any ad hoc reporting as requested by the PCN Manager or members
of the PCN leadership team
Format and distribute the PCN newsletter
Prepare, produce, review and circulate all documents required for
meetings in a timely fashion and to a high standard.
Develop and maintain electronic systems and/or databases required for the
role.

clinical rota and appointment administration.

will evolve with the continuing development of the PCN; therefore this is not

The
successful applicant will be confident with IT systems, MS Office, Office 365
and an excellent communicator. They will be expected to have the ability to
work both independently and as part of a team, managing their workload and
working to deadlines.

- Good standards of general education - minimum of 4 GCSEs, at Grade 4 or above or equivalent must include English Language.
- Keyboarding/typing qualification equivalent to RSA 3/OCR Advanced
- text/word processing or equivalent proven typing skills to a high standard

- Ability to use Microsoft Office applications Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook

- Educated to NVQ Level 3 in Business Administration or equivalent knowledge/experience
