We are looking for a Rota service Coordinator to work in the Diagnostics setting supporting the team with carrying out agreed tasks. The Rota Service Co-ordinator will play a critical role in creating and maintaining processes and systems to support the service implemented in terms of rotas, staffing and clinical location bookings. The Rota service Co-ordinator will be a proactive member of the team whose skills will contribute to the efficient and systematic delivery of quality services.

Location: Newfield House, Vicarage Ln, Blackpool FY4 4EW

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Salary: £24,000 per annum

Main duties of the job

The duties will include the day-to-day operational management of the team including administrative clerical work and support to the Deputy Head of Diagnostics aiming to provide appropriate management support within an integrating team.

Job responsibilities

The post holder will:

Participate in the implementation and on-going delivery of the service

Ensure that the service is delivered to a high standard that meets the needs of all stakeholders including patients and Commissioners

Promote Workforce integrity, empower professional accountability within clinical team, ensure accreditation process followed.

Key Responsibilities:

Will ensure that the quality of the operational management is such that it maximises efficiency and cost effectiveness as well as supporting clinical staff.

Will ensure operationally clinics, capacity, staffing rotas are maintained to meet the service needs.

To effectively ensure that all clinics, staff have the required resources to perform their duties in line with the service needs.

Lead by example and nurture an organisational culture of openness, learning and peer support. Staff are our most valuable asset and should be treated and supported as such.

To work with the Clinical Delivery Team in order to ensure that the service is delivered in accordance with the specification to which the service needs.

Assist the employed and sessional clinical staff in dealing with rotas, room bookings and dealing with external GPs in accordance to room bookings.

Will maintain patient experience standards in terms of ensuring that clinical locations are reviewed and meet the service requirements and sites are fit for purpose.

To manage the on-going operation of the service in order to ensure that the all the clinics operate effectively to the service delivery.

Adhere to policies and procedures of the company and keep up to date with procedures and changes within the role.

To effectively communicate with clinicians and administrative staff, as the first point of contact thereby ensuring the effective delivery of the service.

Recognise the importance, be enthusiastic and value what patient feedback brings to the organisation and use this to boost team morale and patient and stakeholder engagement

To maintain an understanding of the work of FCMS as a whole, and actively contribute your ideas for the improvement of service provision.

To closely monitor and continually seek improvement to all areas of customer satisfaction to ensure the highest attainable standards are met at all times across all clinical locations.

Administrative Duties

This includes rota specific roles, such as:

Working to develop monthly clinical rotas, this will include organising transportation of kit and consumables, checking clinical sites, reporting clinic incidents (room issues), liaising with clinical staff on availability, meeting service demand.

The role is subject to a DBS check which will require three forms of valid ID to be produced and verified.
