Welcome to FCMS!
We are looking for an individual to provide a high-quality reception service to patients and staff at the Fleetwood Urgent Treatment Centre.
Hours: Flexible hours to meet the needs of
the organisation. The service operates 7 days per week/ 365 days per year.
The service starts at 07.45 each day and
closes at 8.15pm each evening
Pay: £11.44 per hour. We provide enhancements for Saturdays/Sundays andBank Holidays
Hours: 37.5 per week

Main duties of the job
The post holder will work in the urgent care setting supporting the
team by fulfilling the agreed tasks.
The key duties include:
- Operating the reception
- Being the
first point of contact for patients, visitors and enquiries
- Booking patients into Fleetwood Urgent
Treatment Centre, Wound Care and the GP Extended Access service
- Completing a non-clinical triage
with patients
- Answering the phone
- Undertaking day to day administration tasks.
The post holder will
accept the responsibility for aspiring to achieve, share a corporate pride in achievements and
strive to act as an ambassador for good quality.
The post holder will also have
an element of floor walking to assist patients using the self-check in IPAD
assessments.

Job responsibilities
The post holder will
- Be
the first point of contact for patients, visitors and enquiries
- Meet,
greet and complete a non-clinical triage with all self-presenting patients
- Book
patients into the Adastra and EMIS system
- Utilise
the appointment diaries via Adastra, EMIS and HISS
- Liaise
with a range of health care professionals both internal and external
- Record
information on IT systems, spreadsheets, paper records
- Telephone
answering, faxing, photocopying, scanning
- Inputting
data onto the computer systems, setting up computer diaries
- Update
records
- Maintain
a clean and confidential reception desk
- Adhere
to policies and procedures of the company and keep up to date with any changes
Educational
- To
follow safe working practices and to comply at all times with local Safety
Policies and Procedures
- To
ensure confidentiality on all matters relating to patients and information
obtained during the
course of employment and not to release such information to anyone other than
those acting
in an official capacity as instructed
- Maintain
good relationships with other members of the staff team across all disciplines
- Contribute
to the identification of own training needs and participate in relevant
in-service
- training
- To
attend staff meetings as required
The post holder will be expected to attend any
necessary courses that provide relevant training.
