DUTIES
AND RESPONSIBILITIES
To ensure we deliver

Develop a patient
experience framework, involving patients and families in learning from
incidents and in co production of our services.
That our teams have
proficient attitudes and behaviours compatible with FCMS Values
Mentor others within
the team.
FCMS is committed
to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and
vulnerable adults and expects all staff to share this commitment. You will be
expected to lead on
safeguarding and drive safeguarding training at all
levels. You will also help embed that safeguarding is everybodys business
across the organisation.
Maintain good
communication between management structures and clinical staff.
Lead on clinical
audit and clinical governance across the organisation.
The post holder will continuously develop and
implement the clinical governance assurance and governance framework and ensure
all the requirements are met.
Develop and Lead on FCMS PSIRF policy and plan.

Governance/Leadership
Highlighting issues
and concerns as needed and seeking support/guidance in a timely manner if any
difficulties are encountered.
Act as an excellent
role model by upholding and implementing good practice and values in the
workplace.
Recognising and
either directly challenging or seeking support to challenge any poor practice
observed.
A positive, caring,
and collaborative attitude, enthusiasm, and determination to do a good job as
well as the motivation to learn and continue to study and develop at this
level.
Attend strategic high-level
meetings with external stakeholders.
Embedding of
quality improvement, patient safety and clinical effectiveness initiatives
across all levels of the organisation.
Accountable for clinical
Governance within FCMS.
Ensure that lessons
learnt from incidents are disseminated and shared across the team and wider
organisation
Review cost
effectiveness of FCMSs clinical audit systems and processes on a regular basis
Ensuring risks are
flagged on the register and escalated as needed.
Key relationships
Internal -
CEO , deputy CEO, COO , Directors , OMD, clinical and non-clinical
heads of /deputies, clinical managers, Clinical Governance service leads, nurses
and AHPs , chief nurse / AHPs.
External-
ICB / ICS commissioners, ICB chief nurse and AHPs, local council leads
and social services, stakeholders, local universities, external safeguarding
leads, any other stakeholder colleagues at local and national level.
Confidentiality
In the course of your duties, you may have access to
confidential information about patients, staff, or health service
business. On no account must such
information be divulged to anyone who is not
authorised to receive it.
Confidentiality of information must be preserved at all times whether at
or away from work. FCMS has in place, a
Whistle blowers Policy for staff wishing to express concerns.
Data Protection Act, 2018
Carry out any requirements within the duties applicable to the Data
Protection Act, 2018.
Health and Safety At Work
Act, 1974
Observe all responsibilities and carry out all duties, whether general
to all employees or specific to the post, relating to Health and Safety in
accordance with the Organisational and Departmental Safety Policies and any
statutory requirements.
Clinical &
Corporate Governance/Quality Assurance
All employees are expected to comply with the clinical and corporate
governance arrangements of FCMS. Every employee is personally responsible for
the quality of the work, and standard of care, which they individually
provide. It is their duty to seek to
attain the highest standards achievable both individually and collectively
within their knowledge, skills, and resources available to them.
Outside
Employment/Outside Interests
If you have other work or outside interests, this must not conflict
with your duties and responsibilities of your attendance for work as an
employee of the organisation.
It is a condition of appointment that you must inform your manager
before taking up work for outside agencies or other employers, other work for
the organisation (including bank work), voluntary work or outside interests you
have or propose to have. This is to
ensure there is no question of it creating a conflict of interest with your
NHS duties. You must also therefore seek
your
manager's approval before taking on any such other work or outside
interest at any time after entering employment.
Working Time Directive
You are required to comply with the regulations governing working time
and to any locally agreed associated arrangements.

Fire Training
Each member of the staff has a statutory obligation to attend a Fire
Lecture each year. It is the

Record (DBS)
This post will be subject to enhanced disclosure under DBS.
The organisation is committed to

to this role.

This post is
subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exemption Order) 1975 and as
such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the

previous criminal convictions. This will require three forms of valid ID to be
produced and verified. The onboarding process is also subject to an
Occupational Health check, suitable professional references and eligibility to
