Job responsibilities
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Independently analyse and Interpret Ambulatory
ECG recordings, Ambulatory BP Recordings and 12 Lead ECG recordings.
Organise and prioritise own daily workload
based on clinical urgency.
Provide a clinical report in a timely manner
and inform the referring clinician of any findings that would necessitate a
change in clinical management.
To analyse and interpret complex information
using best practice and make autonomous decisions based on the information
provided.
Liaise with the Consultant Cardiologist and
the referring GP re: Urgent/Abnormal reports
Independently perform ECG/BP clinics when
required.
Maintain own CPD
To deliver appropriate patient care at all
times
To establish and maintain good working
relationships with all members of the organisation.
To actively take part in the training and
development of staff / trainees.
To maintain patient confidentiality in line
with corporate policy at all times.
To ensure that all equipment is in working
order and report faults without delay.
Be aware of and comply with all health and
safety protocols as set out by the organization.
The postholder may be required to travel to
remote clinical locations (Full UK Driving license is preferable with access to
their own vehicle)
To ensure all accidents, incidents and
complaints are recorded / escalated appropriately.
Maintain personal performance and quality
standards as agreed in the staff appraisal review
Ensure personal mandatory training is up to
date.
Attend annual personal appraisal review
Maintain involvement with professional bodies
Participate in resuscitation training to
maintain the BLS resuscitation council qualification.
Communication and Administration
Regularly keep colleagues informed of any
occurrences that may impact on service delivery.
Communicate complicated information
effectively within the multi-disciplinary team.
Excellent IT skills
Completion of test reports in a timely manner
To ensure the accuracy and legibility of all
collected data
Physical Demands of the Post
The post holder should be:
Physically capable of maintaining correct
posture for long periods whilst using the computer
Concentrating for long periods of time

Each member of FCMS staff is
responsible for ensuring the confidentiality of any information relating to patients

carrying out the duties of the post. Any
breaches in confidentiality will be dealt with by the FCMS Disciplinary
Procedure and may result in dismissal.
Health and Safety
Each member of the FCMS staff is
responsible for ensuring that they carry out the duties of their post in
accordance with all appropriate Health and Safety legislation, guidance and
procedures and they do not, by any act or omission on their part, create a
threat to the Health and Safety of any other person.
Mandatory
Training
Each
member of the FCMS staff has a statutory obligation to attend mandatory
training. It is the responsibility of
each member of staff to ensure that they comply with this legal requirement.
Flexibility
This job description is intended to
act as a flexible guide to the duties of the post and therefore will require
revision in consultation with the post holder to reflect the changing
requirements of the post, to enable the Trust to achieve its corporate goals
and objectives.

The role is subject to a DBS check
which will require three forms of valid ID to be produced and verified. The
