Job summary

Come and join our ever-expanding team of clinicians here at FCMS Urgent and Emergency Care Doncaster! We currently have a range of Advanced Nurse Practitioners, Advanced Clinical Practitioners and Emergency Care Practitioners delivering high quality care to the people of Doncaster 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The population of Doncaster now exceed 300,000 with a large variety of acute medical conditions our ECP Service offers autonomous clinicians who can assess, diagnose, and treat in the community. Where needed we have created strong links with our local trust to ensure referrals into hospital are streamline, working to avoid A&E admissions, if possible, by utilising the same day emergency care pathways. We pride ourselves on an open and honest culture and show dedication towards supporting our peers, working with staff to maximize potential, we value new ideas and welcome change.

Pay: £22.38 - £29.03 Depending on experience

Main duties of the job

Experience of working in the urgent and emergency care sector is desirable, or a passion to work in a fast-paced environment. The post holder will demonstrate advanced clinical assessment and treatment skills with clear communication and management plans in line with local guidelines. The post holder will engage in continuous CPD throughout their employment and have a willingness to share experience and teaching with the wider team. The post-holder will be expected to undertake all the duties and responsibilities associated with an expert practitioner working within urgent and emergency care.

Provide expert clinical history taking, assessment, diagnosis, and treatment plans in line with local policies and NICE.

Give clear and concise communication to colleagues and service users.

The post holder will:

Assess, treat, and advise patients presenting with health care needs.

Provide supervision of the clinical team, assisting and developing their team and individuals

When required ensure patients are referred on to other members of the primary health care team or secondary care as necessary and support and guide others as required.

Ensure all practice is safe and effective and remains within boundaries and scope of competence of individuals and to acknowledge limitations.

Work at an advanced level of practice.

Develop and maintain clinical/nursing policies, procedures, and protocols.

The post holder will:
