Job description

Job responsibilities

What will the role involve?

Not UDA driven direct invoicing.

You will assess and provide treatment to patients across Lancashire who present with urgent and emergency dental needs. This service is very busy, and you will more than likely see everything thats possible in dentistry. If youre looking for something different to fit around other employments this could work for you. Fulfilling and interesting types of clinical care, fantastic string to add to your bow!

Patient Care is our utmost priority, and, in this environment, you must have good communication and time management skills. Remaining calm and professional under pressure and being able to adapt to the patients needs with ease is important.

We have a range of experienced dental nurses who work within the clinics, teamwork between yourself and the dental nurse, and receptionist is absolutely essential.

We have self-employed opportunities for Dentists available at the following locations:

  • Blackburn Barbara Castle Way - BB2 1AX
  • Burnley St Peters Centre - BB11 2DL
  • Blackpool - Whitegate Drive Health Centre FY3 9ES
  • Morecambe Queen Victoria Centre LA4 5NN

We are interested to hear from qualified dentists from a range of backgrounds. Applicants need to be eligible to work in the UK, have current GDC registration, active NHS performer number, indemnity and an up-to-date enhanced DBS check.

Whats in it for you? We pride ourselves on being an organisation where culture is key, we want to create an inspirational and inclusive environment where colleagues embody our values; Fun, Awesome, Brave, Go-getting, Oompf and Humble. Our service user population is already incredibly diverse, and we want to reflect this across our clinical profile.

In this role you will have the autonomy of being self-employed so will have the benefit of working across very flexible rotas. This ensures that you can work convenient hours within a friendly and experienced team. The choice is yours; you can work as much or as little as you like! Shifts are shared out fairly between all available dentists, and you will be supported by on call managers during shifts who are also dental nurses. We have a clinical governance committee which meets every 6/52 committed to continuously improving our service. With brew facilities and parking available on most sites, we aim to be a comfortable and convenient environment.
