Job summary
Why Independent Health Group?
Independent
Health Group really is a values-based organisation.
Patients come first.
Excellence through continuous improvement.
Teamwork underpins all we do.
As a result, we really make a difference
to patients by delivering excellent out-of-hospital surgery in the community,
closer to peoples home. Working for a small/medium-sized enterpriseis
quite different to being part of a large acute trust. We adhere to the same
high standards of clinical care and governance but can be more fleet of foot.
It also requires us to be more versatile.
Everything we do ensures people are our
priority those we care for, and those who work for us. This is reflected in
both our CQC rating of outstanding and the results from the NHS staff survey:
All our staff believe that patients are our top priority, feel the care we
offer is good enough for their friends and family and would recommend us as a
place to work.
Main duties of the job
You will
work alongside the pre and post operative team, for patients undergoing Local
Anaesthetic for Hernia, Carpal Tunnel, Cataract, Vasectomy and Podiatry
procedures.
You shall
work closely with the Patient Administration Team, Clinicians and Clinical
Nursing Teams.
You will
undertake patient facing clinical duties including circulating duties,
admission, and discharging patients on the day of surgery.
About us
We were
set up in 2004 by Dr Matthew Wordsworth with the aim of offering patients the
choice of being treated out of hospital, closer to home. Matt wanted to create a new health care
organisation in which like-minded health care professionals could deliver truly
patient centred care.
In the summer of 2022 we have proven this, with our Outstanding CQC rating!
Since 2004
we have grown the range of services we offer, and the sites we work from, but
we still believe that Independent Health Group offers you an opportunity to
make a real difference to patients care and treatment.
We pride
ourselves on the quality of care we offer our patients. All the work we undertake is for the NHS.
We work
in a different kind of environment to that of an acute hospital setting. Our patients see the same clinician and are
offered specific appointment times. Our staff
work within small teams with plenty of time for patient contact. We provide services Monday to Friday, so
there is no evening working, and nor do we operate on bank holidays. We pride ourselves on being a flexible
employer.
We offer
our staff an innovative, alternative way to delivering health care, have a very
patient-centred approach with short waiting times for our patients, and you
will have the opportunity to contribute to the development of a fantastic
organisation, as well as the opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge
in a surgical setting.
