Main duties of the job

The Operational Lead is responsible for the effective day-to-day running of the ADHD psychiatric service, ensuring high-quality care delivery, operational efficiency, and compliance with regulatory standards. This role involves managing resources, overseeing service performance, and driving continuous improvement to meet the needs of patients, stakeholders, and commissioners.

About us

We work in partnership with a number of NHS Clinical Commissioning Groups nationwide to provide patients with access to community services closer to their home, these include Diagnostic Ultrasound, Gynaecology Services, diagnosis and treatment of Dermatological conditions, ENT, Ophthalmology services and the provision of extended Minor surgery procedures.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Operational Management:

  • Lead the operational delivery of the ADHD service, ensuring it meets agreed targets, timelines, and service-level agreements.
  • Oversee clinic scheduling, patient pathways, and resource allocation to ensure efficient and patient-centred service delivery.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and prepare regular reports for senior leadership and stakeholders.

Team Leadership:

  • Manage and support a multidisciplinary team, including administrative staff, clinicians, and psychiatrists.
  • Conduct regular team meetings and performance reviews, to maintain a motivated and skilled workforce.
  • Act as a point of escalation for operational or patient care issues.

Patient Experience:

  • Ensure the service provides a seamless patient journey from referral to treatment.
  • Monitor reports for patient feedback and complaints, implementing changes to improve satisfaction and outcomes.
  • Promote a culture of inclusivity and sensitivity to the needs of individuals with ADHD and neurodivergent conditions.

Quality and Compliance:

  • Collaborate with clinical leads to maintain and drive continuous improvement in clinical governance standards.
  • Regularly review and refine policies, processes, and workflows to drive efficiency and quality improvements.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Represent the service at meetings and forums, promoting its capabilities and seeking new opportunities.
  • Work with external providers, including counselling and diagnostic services, to enhance the patient pathway.

Strategic Development:

  • Identify and implement opportunities for service growth and innovation, including integration with digital health tools.
  • Collaborate on the development and implementation of new projects or service delivery models.
