Job summary
We are seeking an experienced and driven Head of Primary Care Partnerships to spearhead our efforts in increasing GP referrals, supporting the development of our growth strategy, developing the internal Primary Care team all with the prime focus of aiding the NHS in reducing waiting times nationally for the services we provide. Reporting directly to senior leadership and acting as a bridge between the business and our external stakeholders, this role will play a key part in driving our referral generation growth initiatives.
The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience within the NHS, with deep knowledge of primary care, primary care networks, and ICBs. This role requires someone with strong relationships within primary care, a strategic mindset, and the ability to implement impactful solutions.
Main duties of the job
- Develop and drive the primary care referral strategy to increase GP referrals and strengthen our partnerships within the healthcare sector.
- Serve as the in-house primary care expert, ensuring all strategic initiatives align with best practices in primary care.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with GPs, primary care networks (PCNs), Integrated Care Boards (ICBs), and other relevant stakeholders.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to create, refine, and execute referral strategies, ensuring alignment with company goals.
- Create, monitor and analyse referral data to inform decision-making and strategic adjustments.
- Line management of the Partnership Manager in turn the Primary Care Account Management team to ensure smooth operational delivery of the strategy.
- Provide insights and recommendations to improve referral generation and patient pathways from primary care to our services.
- Stay informed about the latest developments in NHS policies, primary care networks, and referral guidelines to ensure the strategy remains relevant and compliant.
- Travel regularly to deliver presentations at GP practices and industry events to promote our services and strengthen relationships.
- Ensure all outreach efforts align with company goals and contribute to the growth of our strategic initiatives.
