Are you an experienced practice nurse ready to take the next step in your journey?
We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and supportive Lead Nurse. You will have broad and excellent practice nursing skills, which include long term conditions, sexual health, wound care and ideally a independent prescribing qualification. Although previous experience of leadership is highly desirable, we are willing to train and support the right person to reach this level over the first 6 months. We want someone to take on the proactive management of our excellent team of nurses and tosupport this innovative practice into the future.
Main duties of the job
Clinical Duties - a good proportion of your time will be spent working clinical shifts, seeing patients and providing key elements of the practice's clinical services.
Practice Leadership - to provide effective people management, appropriate supervision, reflective practice, and training that supports the development and operational delivery of high standards of care.
Clinical Governance - in collaboration with the BrisDoc Quality Board you will ensure ongoing standards of best practice, including adherence and overarching management of clinical audit programmes, IPC, H&S, medicines management, patient safety alerts and safeguarding. Y
Primary Care Development - You will be aware and work with the Practice and the PCN to support any nursing strategies, pathways, or changes in practice necessary and indicated, to ensure that the practice meets any targets and objectives necessary to secure funding and betterhealth outcomes for patients.

You will provide professional leadership for the nursing team, including any HCAs, nursing associates,students or allied health professionals associated with the practice nursing team.Clinical Duties - a good proportion of your time will be spent working clinical shifts, seeing patients and providing key elements of the practices clinical services.
