Job responsibilities

To deputise for the Pharmacist/ Pharmacy manager in their absence carrying out all professional pharmaceutical responsibilities.

To provide clinical pharmacy services and medicines to wards, theatre, outpatients and other hospital departments.

To apply medicines reconciliation when checking inpatient medication, clinically screen drug charts and all inpatient and outpatient prescriptions.

To provide high quality care across a range of specialties.

To aid seamless pharmaceutical care across the various healthcare settings.

To provide medicines information to all healthcare teams/ professionals.

To ensure all medicines procured are safely received and stored in pharmacy.

To ensure that when medication errors are identified, they are recorded, reported and handled appropriately.
