Main duties of the job
Were seeking a full-time
or part-time GP to join The Alliance Medical Group, part of Sunderland GP
Alliance, serving around 25,000 patients across three practices in Washington
and Sunderland. Youll be part of a collaborative, multi-disciplinary teamincluding
GPs, nurses, pharmacists, and specialists in safeguarding and learning
disabilitiesdelivering integrated, patient-focused care.
As
a teaching and training organisation, we host GP registrars and students from
medical, nursing, and paramedic backgrounds, while supporting professional
growth through mentorship, peer learning, and career development. This is an

Clinical Duties:
- Provide
high-quality patient care through surgery, home visits, and telephone
consultations.
- Make professional,
autonomous decisions on undifferentiated and complex presentations.
- Conduct triage,
manage repeat prescriptions, and respond to patient queries efficiently.
- Screen patients
for early signs of illness and proactively manage long-term conditions.
- Develop care plans
in line with current clinical protocols.
- Deliver patient
education and health promotion advice.
- Maintain accurate,
contemporaneous patient records.
- Prescribe safely,
adhering to Practice and CCG formulary guidance.
- Engage in
continuous professional development, audit, and quality improvement
initiatives.
- Collaborate with
statutory and voluntary agencies to enhance patient care.
