Job summary
INTERVIEWS WILL BE HELD ON THE MORNING OF THURSDAY 2ND OCTOBER 2025.
Following the release of ARRS GP
information and funding we are looking for newly qualified (within 2 years and not having a substantive post), enthusiastic
forward thinking GP(s) to join Harness North PCN on a fixed term salaried
contract, preferably with an immediate start date.
The post holder will demonstrate
courageous and critical thinking and is a caring, compassionate and committed
general practitioner who, acting within their professional boundaries, will deliver
high quality medical care and services to the practice population, managing a
clinical caseload and dealing with a diverse range of health needs. This will
include, but is not limited to, surgery and telephone consultations, home
visits, administration, complying with the practices contracts
(APMS/GMS/PMS/enhanced services).
The post holder will commit to
demonstrating critical thinking in the safe clinical decision-making process.
They will communicate and work collaboratively with the general practice team
to meet the needs of patients.
Main duties of the job
Provisions
of Clinical Care
1.
Undertakes all duties and responsibilities associated with a GP
working within primary care, including a full range of medical services as
defined in the core APMS/PMS/GMS contract and additional and enhanced services
where appropriate in line with the GMC Good Medical Practice Standards
2.
Patient facing work aligned to improving quality of care with
agreed autonomy regarding details of sessions.
3.
Contributing to continuity of care and risk management of patients
4.
On occasion may need to provide home visits
5.
Oversee and participate in chronic disease management, which the
post holder may lead, for defined conditions and/or patients.
6.
Work as part of the team to ensure all targets and performance
indicators are met.
7.
Participate in specified clinical meetings.
8.
Participate in, and on occasion lead, clinical audit, and quality
improvement activities.
9.
Participate in achieving contractual and population health
targets, including QOF, IIF, and enhanced services.

Harness North PCN
Our PCN consists of 10 GP practices, caring for a population of over 72,000 patients. Wembley Park Medical Centre in the PCN serving a population of up to 25,000 patients.
We work together with a range of local providers, including acute trusts, community services, social care, voluntary sector and patient participation groups, to offer more personalised, co-ordinated health and social care to our local population.

Attend and contribute to in-house meetings, including clinical,
educational/training-related and administrative meetings.

Practise evidence-based medicine, in line with national and

Act as a mentor and positive role model to other members of staff,
sharing information and good practice.

Keep a portfolio and potentially develop a special interest.
15.
Undertake training as required to ensure competencies for
delivering all responsibilities, to meet personal, statutory and practice
