Join Us in Delivering Specialist Rheumatology Care Closer to Home
At Pennine MSKwe are seeking a dynamic and patient-focused Consultant Rheumatologist to join our community-based rheumatology service. This is an exciting opportunity to provide high-quality, outpatient-led care in a supportive, multidisciplinary environment that puts patients at the heart of what we do.
Working across modern community outpatient clinics, you will deliver specialist assessment, diagnosis and management for a range of inflammatory and non-inflammatory rheumatological conditions, with a strong emphasis on continuity of care and accessibility for local populations.
About the Role:
You will manage Pennine MSK outpatient clinics within community settings, supported by experienced specialist nurses, physiotherapists, and primary care colleagues.
Provide expert clinical input for conditions including RA, axial SpA, PMR, gout, connective tissue diseases, and osteoporosis.
Work closely with local GPs to promote early diagnosis and evidence-based management, reducing unnecessary hospital admissions.
Participate in MDT meetings, virtual clinics, and quality improvement initiatives.
Contribute to service development, innovation, and pathways to enhance patient experience.
What Were Looking For:
- Full GMC registration with a licence to practise
- Entry on the Specialist Register in Rheumatology or within 6 months of achieving CCT
- Extensive knowledge and experience of managing a wide range of rheumatological conditions
- Passion for community-based care and collaborative working
- Commitment to teaching, audit, and service improvement
