This is an exciting
and unique opportunity to work as member of a cohesive and skilled
multidisciplinary team in the delivery of person focused care and treatment for
adults and young people who are engaged in inpatient treatment for an eating disorder.
The post holder
will work clinically with patients to plan and implement recovery-based
treatment which demonstrates a person-centred approach, positive regard and
empathic understanding.
The registered
nurse will contribute to the day to day effective running of the ward. They
will directly contribute to the positive working environment within the
hospital and will require a high degree of professional integrity and
self-management and the ability to lead/inspire others.
The post holder
will be required to account for their professional practice through appraisal
and audit, and ensure delivery of clinically safe, high quality care for all
patient and drive and sustain a positive culture which embraces change to
achieve excellence.
Main duties of the job
The post holder
will be a skilled, resilient and effective clinician who is able to work within
a multidisciplinary team to effect the best possible care, treatment and
recovery for patients. As a registered nurse, you will lead in the assessment,
planning, implementation, co-ordination and evaluation of nursing care and act
as key worker with a specific group of patients ensuring that care is clear,
focused, well documented/communicated and meets best possible practice.
As a registered
nurse you will promote the hospital in a positive manner, clinically supervise
practice and ensure the integrity of the pathway and processes in line with the
hospitals objectives, policies and procedures.
You will Manage,
co-ordinate and lead nursing shifts. Take a key role in the induction, training
and mentorship of staff; You will be able to adapt your approach, recognise and
work within effective change cycles to affect and embed continuous improvement.
