Job responsibilities

The post-holder will be expected to undertake all the normal duties and responsibilities associated with a GP working within primary care, with the responsibilities of providing triage, base appointments and home visits. 24-hour cover is required on Bank Holidays.

There is some flexibility around shift start/finish times. We are particularly seeking GPs interested in our red-eye shift, which is 00:00 08:00, and this is based at the Tessa Jowell Health Centre in Dulwich.

We have two overnight clinicians supported onsite by a shift manager and a driver. There is controlled admission into the site, and the driver will accompany the mobile clinician on a home visit if required. Remote support is available from an On-Call Medical Director and On-Call Manager.

Weekend daytime and evening shifts are also available at St Johns Medical Centre in Lewisham. Both locations are pleasant, modern facilities.
