Job Title: Multi professional Mentoring Programme Co-Director (PD)
Hours of work: 4hr 10 min per week (1 session each co-leads)
Remuneration: £55 ,000- £65,000 pro rata dependent on experience
Contract length: Fixed term 12 mths with potential to continue
Responsible for: NCL Mentoring Scheme as co- lead
Accountable to: NCL Training Hub executive leads
Responsible to: NCL Training Hub Barnet / Programme Manager
Location: Flexibility of remote working, with availability of NCL Training Hub offices within North Central London. There may be a requirement to attend face to face events or meetings within the role with notice given.
Main duties of the job
This is an exciting opportunity to provide joint clinical leadership of the delivery of North Central London (NCLs) Supporting Mentors Scheme, forming part of a suite of interlocking Primary Care (PC) Clinicians recruitment and retention initiatives.
The successful post holder will deliver NCLs vision to develop and access a cohort of locally based and highly experienced mentors to support other NCL multi-professional PC clinicians.
This will be delivered through funded training of a recognised mentoring qualification or its equivalent. Mentors will be matched appropriately with mentees across NCL, to enhance their experience of general practice and to help newer clinicians settle into their roles successfully.

The North Central London (NCL) Training Hub is a network of multidisciplinary primary care teams, community providers, and social care providers. Training Hubs receive core funding from Health Education England, but we also have extra commissions from NHS England & Improvement and Local Authorities.
The NCL Training Hub has been established to enhance training, education, and workforce development with specific focus on enhancing the recruitment of new, and retention of current, staff. The NCL Training Hub has developed innovative educational and workforce initiatives for primary, community and social care. During 2021-22, these innovative models have been shortlisted and won national awards, including from HSJ and Nursing Times

- Coaching or Mentoring qualification ILM 5 or above, or training through the Mentoring Scheme.
- Evidence of continuing personal and professional development
- Membership/Fellowship of a College, Faculty, professional association and/or regulatory body
- Attendance at courses aimed to support educational development (example: educator courses, Train the Trainer, etc.)
- Experience of Multiprofessional working and training
