Job summary

Responsible to: Clinical Lead

Accountable to: Clinical Lead

Hours of work: 2 sessions per week (add on)

Remuneration: £300 Inclusive per session

Contract length: 12 months (with potential for extension)

Location: Activities may take place across Haringey, some remote working, some work at Haringey GP Federation offices

Main duties of the job

Haringey Training Hub is looking to appoint a Mid-Career GP to introduce and develop and interest in research across Haringey practices. Your role would be supported by Noclor Joint NHS Research Office and you would join the Clinical Leads in the other NCL Boroughs who have gained experience in this area over the last 2 years.

Research Clinical Leads oversee and guide the research portfolio across an alliance of GP Practices and primary care organisations. Maintaining knowledge of local research activities, building research capacity and working to promote a research positive culture throughout primary care.

Haringey GP Federation

Haringey GP Federation previously known as Federated 4 Health is the pan-Haringey Federation of Haringey GP practices. Our vision is: To develop a happier and healthier Haringey through strong and innovative General Practice.

We provide a range of services in Haringey including those which are best delivered by Primary Care at scale; integrated services, working with partners in our local borough partnership; and support services including back-office support, workforce and training and some shared staffing clinical teams. We also currently manage two local GP practices and lead Haringey Training hub.

We are a relatively young organisation which has grown quickly both in scope and reputation. We are committed to providing high quality care and pride ourselves on being innovative and able to mobilise projects quickly. We are a friendly team that works together and supports each other to provide excellent services in Haringey.

Haringey Training Hub is an organisation responsible for the training, education and development of staff at all levels in Primary Care in Haringey. We are hosted by the Haringey GP Federation and part of the North Central London Training and we offer the ability to work flexibly as the role requires

Essential

  • Registered GP working in a primary care setting in Haringey working minimum of 3 sessions.
  • MRCGP
  • GP Post 3 years CCT

Experience

  • Evidence of contributing and leading on quality improvement and collaborative team working in a primary care environment.
  • Knowledge of quality management of clinical services or education.
  • Understanding of service design and delivering workforce initiatives, including skills planning, role design and integrated working.

Desirable

  • Experience of leading and managing projects to successful outcomes, within time and budget parameters.
