Main duties of the job
The role
The postholder will play a key role in the delivery of high-quality
clinical services. They will provide the overall strategic leadership to the
Integrated Services Team and the Primary Care Network Support Team. They will represent Haringey GP Federation at
the Live Well Board and be responsible for the development of new areas of work
that support the reduction of Health Inequalities in Haringey. (Health Inequalities is one of Haringey GP
Federations Strategic Priorities.)
This role requires an individual who is innovative, effective
and passionate about reducing health inequalities, working across system
boundaries to improve the quality of care for patients. They will be able to develop strategic
thinking and interpret it into operational development.
They will be able to build confidence across the organisation
as well as with external partners; they will be able to operate in smart and
inventive ways, developing an agile and problem-solving culture. A key
responsibility will be to challenge, support and develop service teams ensuring
robust systems for performance and financial management and quality governance
are in place.

We are the Haringey GP Federation, a young and growing organisation working with 34 member practices and over 200 members of staff in the diverse and vibrant borough of Haringey in North London. We provide a range of services in Haringey, including those which are best delivered by Primary Care at scale, namely; integrated services, working with partners in our local borough partnership, together with support services, including back-office support, workforce and training and some shared staffing clinical teams. We also currently manage two local GP practices and lead the North Central London Training hub.

Job responsibilities
Provide senior strategic leadership for the organisation particularly within
Integrated Services and PCN Network Support, ensuring that services are managed
effectively and deliver against contracts meeting qualitative and quantitative
performance targets and within the financial allocations.
Provide
strong and expert professional and business leadership to clinical services,
particularly in service planning, and in ensuring the delivery of high-quality
clinical services.
Create
a culture of strong leadership that nurtures and develops talent within the
Integrated Services and PCN Network Development areas, ensuring that your own
and others behaviours demonstrate our values.
Support the development of a talent pipeline to
ensure that Integrated Service Managers, the Senior Integrated Service Manager
and PCN Network Support Managers are able to develop their skills and be
effective in all they do.
Represent the Federation within the NHS and
wider community, working closely to support the delivery of integrated working
within the local healthcare environment with a particular focus on supporting
the Live Well Priority of the Borough Partnership. Be the strategic lead for the Integrated
Services Team providing oversight and support to the operational delivery of
the services (led by the Senior Integrated Services Manager), ensuring that all
services are effective, achieving against key performance indicators and are providing
a consistently high-quality service.
Take
a leading role in the development and initiation of new integrated clinical
services that work across organisations with a smooth transition at the right
time to standard operational delivery under the appropriate Integrated Services
Manager.
Take
a lead role in the development of the Proactive Integrated Teams supporting
borough wide roll out and effective working across the primary and secondary
care interface. Provide operational support and direction to the locality PITs
and explore opportunities to develop robust clinical pathways using a
population health improvement approach.
Manage
complex projects including service development, as required, improving
capacity, service efficiency, quality, and capability.
Work
closely with the medical directorate to ensure alignment with operational
support to integrated services.
