Kingstone Surgery have an exiciting opportunity for a GP to join their friendly team.

We are a small, rural, dispensing and GP training practice with 5,700 patients. We would like a GP to join our friendly team ideally from June/July 2026.

This role is 4 sessions per week, with 6 weeks holiday , one week study leave with potential for additional 0.5 CPD session.

The salary for this role is £11,400 - £12,100 sessional rate dependent on experience.

We are happy to discuss what balance of role may suit any GP joining our team, including retainer scheme. Main duties of the job

Kingstone has maintained a traditional model of patient care with good continuity.

First contact physio 3 days a week, pharmacist and chronic disease nurses. No nurse practitioner or PA, so some simple GP consults.

Excellent patient access and patient ratings, no patient triage.

Fortnightly clinical meetings, daily catch up.

No care homes, home visits are rare. Internal locum rates paid generously.

Kingstone has five GPs doing 4-6 clinical sessions each. All have professional interests including medical student teaching, MSK, diabetes and childrens picture book illustration. Previous projects include partnering with Meadow Arts to do Arts Council funded creative projects with our patients, and we have a surgery rocket. We work from a beautiful purpose-built building that won a Civic Trust award. A biological survey showed excellent biodiversity.

Kingstone village is 10 minutes from the city of Hereford, 50 minutes from Gloucester, 25 minutes to Hay on Wye, and 20 minutes from Abergavenny. There are excellent state and private schools nearby.
