*Taurus Healthcare are advertising on behalf of Ryeland Surgery*
Ryeland Surgery looks after more than
19,000 patients from Leominster and the surrounding area. Our clinical team
includes GPs, Advance Nurse Practitioners, Paramedics, Clinical Pharmacists,
FCPs, Practice Nurses, Healthcare Assistants, Phlebotomists and Social
Prescribers.
This is a temporary administration
post covering 6-12 months for maternity leave. The
Patient Care Co-ordinator is responsible for chronic disease review
administration including inviting patients in for annual reviews and vaccinations
by text, letter and telephone calls, data inputting, coding and general
administration.
A background in healthcare is not a
essential and we actively encourage applications from candidates with
experience in the private or voluntary/charity sectors
The successful candidate will have:
- Strong organisational skills with the
ability to prioritise competing work streams and deadlines
- Previous customer service experience
- Previous administrative experience
- A willingness to learn and adapt to
new processes and IT systems

Main duties of the job
- Monitoring and recording of daily fridge temperature checks
- To process all administration relating to cervical cytology recalls and results
- Send invitations for annual review to all patients with long term conditions and those eligible for vaccinations
- Keep patient records up to date with coding and document filing
- Manage all queries as necessary in an efficient manner

seventy people. We are also a training practice and host a Research
Nurse.
The
practice operates across two sites which together serve over 19,000
registered patients. We are due to
relocate to purpose built premises in early 2026.

Job responsibilities
The
Patient Care Co-ordinator is responsible for Chronic Disease review administration,
data inputting and general administration support. The role will also assist in
any other administrative duties required by the wider Practice Team as
directed.
The following are the core responsibilities of the Patient Care
Co-ordinator. On occasions there may be a
requirement to carry out other tasks which are listed below under Secondary
responsibilities. This will be dependent on factors such as workload and
staffing levels:
- Monitoring and recording of daily fridge
temperature checks
- To process all administration relating to cervical
cytology recalls and results
- Send invitations for annual review to all
patients with long term conditions and those eligible for vaccinations
- Keep patient records up to date with coding and
document filing
- Manage all queries as necessary in an
efficient manner
- Maintain a clean, tidy, effective working area
at all times
- Support all clinical staff with general tasks
as requested (appropriate to role)
- Undertake all mandatory training and induction
programmes
- Attend a formal appraisal on an annual basis
and participate in interim reviews to ensure objectives are achieved and
relevant training is undertaken.
- Contribute to public health campaigns (e.g.,
flu clinics) through administrative support
In addition to the primary responsibilities, the Patient Care
Coordinatormay be
requested to:
- Complete opening and closing procedures in
accordance with the duty rota
- Participate in practice audit as directed by
the audit lead
- Support front of house staff, providing cover
during staff absences
- Action incoming emails, tasks, texts when
necessary
