We seek an experienced Nurse Manager to join our
friendly and dynamic team in beautiful north Herefordshire. Our main surgery is based in the market
town of Leominster whilst our village branch surgery is in Bodenham
(dispensing).
This
role will involve leading the nursing team and responding to changes in nursing
guidelines. The post holder will report
to the Lead GP Partner for Nursing and to the Business Manager.
This role is for 30-37.5 hours per week.

Main duties of the job
Management
To lead the nursing team in meeting practice objectives by ensuring effective staffing levels, maintaining clinical nursing standards, supervising and developing the team to their full potential.
To support the management team in the implementation of quality improvement initiatives and new services to enhance patient care and service delivery.
Clinical
To be responsible for the delivery of practice nursing services, working as part of the practices multidisciplinary team who provide care within their scope of practice to the registered patient population.
To be responsible for a number of clinical areas such as health promotion, chronic disease management, health prevention, as well as supporting the partners and managers in the reviewing of clinical policy and procedure.

About us
We are a friendly,
dynamic and forward thinking GP practice whose clinical team includes GPs,
ANPS, Paramedics, Clinical Pharmacists, FCPs, Practice Nurses, Healthcare
Assistants, Phlebotomists and Social Prescribers. We are also a training
practice and host a Research Nurse.
The practice
operates across two sites which together serve over 19,000 registered
patients.
We are active members of our Primary Care Network - PCN - and are
members of a GP federation.
Our nursing
team comprises seven nurses, four HCAs and one phlebotomist. The team plays an essential role in
providing a caring, friendly and positive service to patients and visitors.
