Job summary

We are looking for a Superintendent Pharmacist to join our well-established, patient-focussed pharmacy.

As Superintendent Pharmacist, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the pharmacy operations, ensuring full regulatory compliance while delivering the highest standards of pharmaceutical care. You will have the autonomy to lead a dedicated team, drive service development, and maintain the safe and effective supply of medicines.

Main duties of the job

To ensure the safe, efficient and effective delivery of all aspects of the pharmacy services, in accordance with national and local standards

To develop a high quality and timely outpatient service for patients

To fulfil the statutory responsibilities as required by the GPhC

To provide efficient management and administration of the business

  • To hold accountability for the ordering and management of all medicines within the Pharmacy
  • Dispensing prescription medicines to the public
  • Liaise with doctors about the prescriptions on site liaison and daily meeting with doctors
  • Counselling and advising public on the treatment of minor ailments
  • Advising patients of any adverse side effects of medicines or potential interaction with other medicines / treatments
  • Undertaking medicines use reviews (MUR), and advanced services to help patients understand how their medicines work and why they have to take them

About us

We are a GP surgery and Pharmacy hybrid in Norfolk looking for a Superintendent Pharmacist.

We offer a supportive working environment with opportunities for development and training.

You will be eligible for the NEST pension scheme and entitled to 25 days annual leave pro rata in addition to bank holidays.

This position is for 40 hours per week between Monday - Friday
