Job summary

We have an exciting opportunity for a full time specialist orthodontist to replace a retiring colleague to join our well established practice in both Norfolk and Suffolk.

We have a long standing team of more than 20 years fully trained, friendly and motivated to deliver an excellent service to our NHS and private patients.

The practices are situated in a beautiful part of the country with one based on the east coast with access to Southwold and the other in the historic city of Norwich.

Main duties of the job

We require a fully qualified specialist orthodontist for this role. Providing care to our NHS and private patients.

About us

The practice has two specialist orthodontists, one orthodontic therapist and a team of fully trained nurses. The practice provides specialist orthodontic treatment only and accepts both NHS and private patients.

Job description

Job responsibilities

Provide high quality orthodontic treatment in accordance with the GDC scope of practice and the practice protocols.

Maintain the required professional registration, indemnity and insurance.

Undertake continuing professional development to meet GDC requirements.

Follow all practice policies and procedures, including those for infection prevention and control.

Monitor, support and reassure the patients and give appropriate advice

Make appropriate referrals to other health professionals.

Keep full, accurate and contemporaneous patient records and ensure that they are regularly updated and stored securely.

Follow all professional ethical guidelines including all rules on confidentiality.

Complete laboratory request forms and keep records of all items sent, received and fitted.

Attend practice annual training for medical emergencies and CPR.

Bring to the attention of the principal or practice manager any concerns about aspects of the practice, its performance or the performance of others in the practice.

Attend all practice meetings as requested.

Assess, treatment plan and provide the appropriate orthodontic treatment within NHS regulations or in the interest of the patients orthodontic needs to a high standard.
