About us
Peninsula Dental Social Enterprise (PDSE) is a Community Interest Company that has been set up by Plymouth Universitys Peninsula Schools of Medicine and Dentistry to oversee the education of its dental and dental therapy students, and provide treatment and outreach services to the local community. PDSE was launched in 2013 in response to changes in the funding environment, and oversees the clinical governance of four Dental Education Facilities in Devon and Cornwall. This is the first time that a clinical education entity has been housed in a social enterprise in the UK, and has enabled the University to more closely align its community outreach work with governance.
