We have an exciting new opportunity at Loughborough Sport for a full time Physiotherapist.
The position will be working with Loughborough Lightning Rugby who play in the PWR (Premiership Women's Rugby). This is the elite level, working in one of the fastest growing sports. The squad is littered with internationals from England, Scotland, Canada and USA, also providing a pathway for talented players of the future. The position involves leading the assessment, rehabilitation and treatment of the squad. Working alongside members of the medical and technical staff you will be driving the team forward, striving for sporting success, clinical excellence and athlete development.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will be experienced in injury assessment, rehabilitation and trauma management. They will demonstrate experience of working in a team and experience working in sport.
The successful candidate will join a large medical department with over 20 clinicians with a focus on personal and professional development.

Job responsibilities
To provide a comprehensive Physiotherapy service to Performance Sport athletes within your allocated sports,
Loughborough University students and a range of other clients.as required.
To work closely with the Performance Sport Managers/coaches and the Clinical Lead in the development of anapplied
and proactive Physiotherapy service appropriate to your allocated sports.
To work in conjunction with other professional colleagues to ensure the strict adherence to medical/patient
confidentiality & appropriate record keeping in line with Clinic policy and procedures and the Chartered Society of
Physiotherapy (CSP) guidelines.
To work as part of a sporting inter-disciplinary team providing support to our clients.
To liaise with the broader Performance Sport coaching staff to inform service development.
To provide Physiotherapy support at events as agreed with the Clinical Lead.
To keep up to date with continuing professional development within appropriate areas of clinical expertise.
Particular emphasis should be given to the specialist areas of sports medicine, musculo-skeletal medicine and
orthopaedics.
To undertake any other duties as appropriate to the role, requested by the Clinical Lead.

Qualifications
Essential
- State Registered Physiotherapist (SRP)
- Member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy
- BSc Degree in Physiotherapy
- Health Care Professionals Council (HCPC) registered
- Emergency pitch side qualification (e.g. PHICIS, EMMiTS, AREA)
- Foundation level in acupuncture.
Desirable
- Association of chartered Physiotherapists in Sports Medicine
- (ACPSM) Bronze or silver accredited.
- Masters level degree.
- Taping qualification.
- Sports massage qualification.
- Spinal manipulation qualification.
Skills and Abilities
Essential
- Good organisation and time management skills.
- Able to demonstrate competency in manual therapy techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to organise and prioritise own caseload.
- Computer literate.
- Ability to communicate fluently in English.
- Experience in sports massage.
- Experience in strapping.
Desirable
- Previous experience of protocol and policy writing.
- Competent in the use of advanced treatment techniques such as
