Job summary
Another exciting opportunity has arisen at our College. We are looking for a qualified, committed and inspirational professional to join us to teach a range of Health and Social Care courses up to BTEC Level 3. The successful candidate will have an appropriate teaching qualification and be well-qualified to degree level in the subject.
Hours of work will be across 2, 3 or 4 days per week, depending on needs of the department. This can be discussed at interview.
Main duties of the job
A teacher must:
1. Set high expectations which inspire, motivate and challenge students
2. Promote good progress and outcomes by students
3. Demonstrate good subject and curriculum knowledge
4. Plan and teach well-structured lessons
5. Adapt teaching to respond to the strengths and needs of all students
6. Make accurate and productive use of assessment
7. Manage behaviour effectively to ensure a good and safe learning environment
8. Fulfil wider professional responsibilities
