Job summary

The Residential Life Department is seeking to appoint a Senior Residential Life Manager (Wellbeing). This is an exciting opportunity to join a diverse, professional, dynamic, innovative team who provide an inclusive, compassionate, and resilient service, empowering students to stay well, live and study independently, and fulfil their potential

Main duties of the job

You will lead on all aspects of the residential life wellbeing service, responsible for the development and delivery of a wellbeing and support for students within university and partnership residences, as they transition to our university community.

About us

Residential Life provide 24/7 support to students living in residences and work in partnershipwith other University services and Bristol SU to deliver a range of proactive activities and events to students to build communities and develop a sense of belonging. Our work covers a broad range of issues, with a focus on delivering a high quality service to our students.

  • Authoritative knowledge of approaches, work practices, processes and procedures relevant to supporting student wellbeing and residential life, including broader sector awareness.
  • Knowledge and experience of supporting students impacted by sexual violence and other forms of unacceptable behaviour.
  • Extensive experience of working with students or young people in an advisory and support capacity, including crisis management, while maintaining appropriate records.
  • A detailed understanding of the importance and impact of Equality, inclusion and diversity.
