This is an exciting time to join Bristol Dental School
in our brand-new clinical facility. The role holder will play a key role within
the School, contributing towards teaching on our clinical programmes.
Main duties of the job
We are seeking outstanding individuals who have significant
experience in general practice to help Bristol Dental School prepare our
students for life in practice. As well as contributing to teaching and clinical
supervision, the post holder may contribute to patient assessment and emergency
clinics, plus there are opportunities to engage with other academic duties and
development.

- Current clinical practice in a General Dental Practice or PCDS setting
- A working knowledge of clinical governance and to participate in audit and quality improvement projects
- Ability to prioritise, organise time appropriately and work independently
- Ability to work under pressure and cope with setbacks
- Able to maintain contemporaneous, clear and legible clinical notes
- Broad range of IT skills
- Capable of involvement in day-to-day clinical management in the unit
- Knowledge of when to refer patients to specialist services
- Evidence of personal development training and commitment to learning

- Significant post qualification experience (ideally 4 years minimum)
- Experience of teaching and training in dentistry
