This part time (0.3 FTE) post is available on a fixed term contract from January 2026 for 1 year, on the Forensic Psychology Programme in Clinical Education Development and Research (CEDAR) in Psychology (subject to final approvals).

The starting salary will be from £43,482 on Grade F per annum pro rata, depending on qualifications and experience. The post may attract a market supplement, in line with Agenda for Change 8a depending on skills and experience.

You will have responsibility for the design, development and production of teaching and learning material in relation to the clinical aspect of the programme and deliver either across a range of modules or within a subject area. You will work withClinical Director and Programme Leadsto ensure the efficient and effective delivery of teaching programmes in accord with the Facultys education strategy and implementing the External Affairs strategy. You will also contribute directly to foundation teaching in one or more of the discipline areas in the Faculty and to the development and implementation of innovative teaching practices across the Faculty.

Main duties of the job

Specific Purpose of the job:

  • Contribute to the clinical aspects of postgraduate teaching as agreed with the Senior Clinical Tutor / Clinical Lead. The post-holder will have the opportunity to develop specialist teaching in his/her area of clinical /teaching expertise. Given CEDARs structure, an interest in contributing to teaching outside the programme would also be an advantage
  • Possess a good honours degree in Psychology or a related discipline (at least a 2:1 orequivalent)
  • Deliveringclinicalaspects of the training programme including clinical skills tutorials
  • Act as a point of liaison between the programme team and participating services and stakeholders

3. Teach a range of material in relation to clinical skills development, supervision etc.

4. Develop, promote and implement innovative teaching practices (with support of our Teaching Quality Assurance and Enhancement department), including technology enhanced learning in particular in relation to the development of clinical practice

5. Monitoring of student progress and provide advice and guidance to students as appropriate, including oversight of the needs of students with special requirements and processes pertaining to mitigating circumstances.

6. Engage with CEDAR working groups and committees as required.

7. Act as an independent clinical practitioner ensuring continuity with the rest of the curriculum

8. Undertake training in the supervision of relevant approaches as needed

9. Work alongside clinical researchers, academic researchers, trainers and clinicians to provide a highquality programme in relation to supervision and the development of clinical skills.

10. Assessment of clinical competency of trainees with a range of approaches as required
