Job summary

The Imperial College Memory Research Centre, led by Professor Paul Edison, is based at Hammersmith Hospital Campus, Imperial College London. The research programme focuses on interventional and observational studies in different neurodegenerative diseases Alzheimer's disease, mild cognitive impairment, vascular dementia and other causes of dementia and cognitive impairment. We heavily focus on basic and translational imaging using PET and MRI in early phase studies.

Main duties of the job

You will facilitate the research activities to deliver the studies in the Memory Research Centre. You will also be helping with data collection and administering questionnaires on research participants. You will keep an accurate record of the study data, and work as part of a multidisciplinary team. You will also have the opportunity to develop additional skills in neuropsychometric testing, programming, MRI brain image analysis, and manuscript preparation.

About the role The Imperial College Memory Research Centre, led by Professor Paul Edison, is based at Hammersmith Hospital Campus, Imperial College London. The research programme focuses on interventional and observational studies in different neurodegenerative diseases Alzheimer's disease, mild cognitive impairment, vascular dementia and other causes of dementia and cognitive impairment. We heavily focus on basic and translational imaging using PET and MRI in early phase studies. We are evaluating novel therapeutic targets in dementia and cognitive impairment in Phase 1 and Phase 2/3 studies, and lead international studies. We are evaluating novel microglial agents in mild cognitive impairment and Alzheimer's disease. Additionally, the unit uses state of the art techniques in PET and MRI in clinical and diagnostic evaluation of people with memory problems.
