Job summary
We lead one of the largest clinical research programs in neonatal encephalopathy in the world, involving over 40 hospitals in six countries. We are looking of an ambitious neonatal nurse with excellent attention to details, who want to explore a potential career in neonatal brain research. You will work collaboratively with the research team and the wider multidisciplinary team and act as an expert resource for staff, researchers, research participants and patients.
Main duties of the job
As a Neonatal Neurology Research Nurse you will take a leading role in the management of care pathways for patients and carers participating in research. You will support colleagues through the research study process, including clinical aspects associated with the research study. You will be involved in recruitment and as an expert resource, you will provide in-depth knowledge on aspects pertinent to acquiring and maintaining informed consent. You will work collaboratively with the research team and the wider multidisciplinary team and act as an expert resource for staff, researchers, research participants and patients. You will lead on the development and updating of local policies and procedures and contribute to the development of national policies. You will lead on the training and supervision of staff and researchers at various national and international recruiting sites.
You will be expected to actively contribute to the neonatal brain research, participate in the data analysis and presentation of research data in major national and international conferences.
